Methanol is an organic compound and is the simplest alcohol. Methanol is very light, highly volatile, colorless, flammable and toxic.

Usually used as solvent, anti-frost agent, fuel or neutralizer.

Methanol can combuse complete in the air and release carbon dioxide and water.

The flame of methanol is almost colorless, so be extra careful to light methanol to avoid burns.

Most of the bacteria will generate methanol during hypoxia metabolism. So there is a small amount of methanol vapor in the air, which will be oxidized by the oxygen in the air under sunlight and generate carbon dioxide, etc.
